We begin by reviewing some basics of the Web as a graph in Section 21.1, then proceed to the technical development of the elements of link analysis for ranking. Such link analysis is one of many factors considered by web search engines in computing a composite score for a web page on any given query. In this chapter we focus on the use of hyperlinks for ranking web search results. The analysis of hyperlinks and the graph structure of the Web has been instrumental in the development of web search. 17 (3) 1009 - 1052, September, 1989.Next: The Web as a Up: irbook Previous: References and further reading Contents Index "Regression Analysis Under Link Violation." Ann. A connection between this work and adaptive estimation is briefly discussed. ![]() A new dimension is added to the regression diagnostics by exploring the elliptical symmetry of the design distribution. ![]() The impact of the violation of linear conditional expectation condition 3 is discussed. Confidence sets can be constructed by inverting Wald's tests. We study the behavior of regression analysis when there might be some violation of the assumed link function, the functional form of the model which relates the outcome variable $y$ to the regressor variable $\mathbf$, the rescaling factor for $M$-estimates is the same as the one used in robust regression, while the rescaling factor for GLM estimates is related to adjustment for overdispersion.
